SWF Krantechnik has shown a new small frame size of the single-girder Nova hoist at the CeMAT show in October. The hoist is available in 1t capacity with two rope falls or 2t capacity with four rope falls. The previous model had a 1.6t capacity with two falls and 3.2t capacity with four.

"It is a simple but very strong hoist in the lower capacity range without many different options, just a stock model which dealers can have in stock and sell straight away," said SWF wire rope hoist product manager Stefan Daniel. He said the model is designed to compete with chain hoists.
