Granada Material Handling, UK: 30te Coil Handling Crane equipped with NOVA
The UK based crane building company Granada Material Handling has installed a 15.6m span double box girder coil handling crane equipped with an electric wire rope hoist NOVA from SWF Krantechnik. The crane was supplied to replace an existing crane manufactured in the 1960's, this crane had reached a point whereby it was uneconomical to keep repairing.
The new crane features the following:
True proportional control on long & cross travel full maintenance platform with access cab true vertical lift on the hoist.
The crane was specified to work in a 24/7 coil storage bay for the automotive industry.
Following the success of the first installation the customer has ordered a further 20te crane having the same specification, delivery is due in August 07.
