In September, the SWF Conference 2006 took place in Papenburg. National and international partners of the Mannheim based hoisting specialist SWF Krantechnik GmbH were invited.

In the cause of the company’s 85th anniversary, nearly fifty crane specialists followed SWF’s invitation and participated in the Conference 2006, which took place in Papenburg, which is part of the Emsland. Already beforehand, the SWF team gave a nautical touch to the event – therefore the headline Ship Ahoy. This and other nautical elements were important for the conference, which took place in the hometown of one of Germany’s biggest dockyards, Meyer Werft. It is understood, that the participants visited it with great interest. 

Information on this years business, movements on international crane markets, new products and their technical innovations and possibilities in cooperating more closely in after-sales and marketing were discussed. In order to be able to communicate, the lectures were translated simultaneously German/English.

One focal point was the topic sales-support and marketing strategy. New concepts were presented as well as tools and strategies for the every-day competition on crane-markets. New online-tools for a more effective cooperation between the independent partners and SWF were presented, new products from the SWF range introduced and impulses given for joint marketing strategies.

Another of the conference’s highlights were guest-speakers from Poland, Belgium, Austria and Finland. They were real experts, who presented news and innovations from their companies. The consequences were a lively exchange of ideas amongst the international partners, business contacts were made, and shoptalk was extended.
