The university city of Mannheim is the cultural and financial centre of the Rhine/Neckar triangle; with 2.3 million inhabitants and approximately 780,000 people in employment, it is the seventh largest conurbation in Germany.
Lying at the confluence of the Rhine and the Neckar, with a total area of around four and a half square miles, Mannheim is one of Europe’s major river ports.
With excellent connections to the European road network via two European and five national motorways as well as several trunk roads within Germany, it forms a crossroads for international routes to south and southwest Europe.
The international airport at Frankfurt is a mere 44 miles from Mannheim, and is easily reached via the A6 and A67 motorways.
With its numerous hotels, restaurants and bars, Mannheim offers plenty of choice for conferences, conventions and other events.
